On November 13, 2021 the Lawrence Quihuis Family, the Hourscht Family and the Wieland Family are doing the ALS Walk for our nephew/cousin, Josh, who has been diagnosed with ALS. Josh, who lost his battle with ALS on February 27, 2021 was a husband, a father and a wonderful person filled with hope. Josh dedicated his life to reach as many people as possible to bring awareness to, and find a cure for this disease.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a deadly illness with no known cause or cure. It affects the motor neurons in a person's brain and spinal cord. When the motor neurons die, the muscles waste away. Gradually, a person is robbed of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. Upon diagnosis, doctors give ALS patients only two to five years to live.
